People Delete

lindris people delete

Delete a person

Synopsis

DELETE /api/people/{id-or-email}. Asks for confirmation unless --yes is passed. When stdin is not an interactive terminal (scripts, MCP), --yes is required — the command refuses to delete rather than block on a prompt nobody can answer. Declining at the prompt exits 2, the same code as that refusal: both are answered by passing --yes.

The confirmation comes before the person is looked up, so an address that does not exist is still asked about: the invocation is settled first, and only then the 404.

Deleting is not how you stop sending to someone — for that, set the status: lindris people upsert --email=… --source=… --status=inactive.

The confirmation prompt and the abort message go to stderr, so stdout carries only the result.

bash
lindris people delete <id-or-email> [flags]

Examples

bash
$ lindris people delete [email protected]
$ lindris people delete [email protected] --yes

Options

  • --yes - Skip the confirmation prompt (required when stdin is not a terminal)
